Unity Quiz app animations

Hello, I was watching brackeys' video on how to make a quiz app (part 3) https://youtu.be/zLnnpUsxu0U?t=757

at the time stamp provided he creates a clip, then after some code he makes 2 animations in that clip, each for the True and False button respectively, however, with newer versions of unity that isn't possible, since if you click on another item you'll have to create a new clip and that doesn't really work, or at least I haven't been able to after a few good hours of experimenting on my own, watching youtube tutorials and reading the documentation/forum posts. So my question is: What do I do as a work around? If you have a solution or any extra docs I can ready please let me know. Thanks! 😃
